October 21/November 3
Saint John was martyred for his faith in Christ and for not breaking the fast of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Larissa on October 21, 1773, when he was only 15 years old.
His holy relics were brought back to his native Monemvasia. He is known for his many miracles.
We're so happy to know of this Saint and see that more and more parents, Godparents, and educators use this tiny book from the "Paterikon for Kids" series to show the brave example of a teenager keeping the Faith and the Fast!
Second edition!
Saint John of Monemvasia – The New Martyr is "Paterikon for Kids" #70 of 109!
Glory to God!
