In 2017, a military pilot and his wife were going to baptize one of their, now seven, children. They contacted us, in a manner worthy of an army pilot, with the request/order to include the patron saint of their newborn in our popular "Paterikon for Kids" series. Since then, we have produced more for their children's Patron Saints, and "Saint Theophano" is the latest. Why did they name their seventh-born daughter after Saint Theophano the Empress, wife of Leo the Wise? In 2017, they were blessed with a small splint of the holy relics of Saint Theophano. That sure is a good reason to name a child after a saint and a compelling reason for Ekaterine to work with it! Glory to God for His saints in our lives. How many copies did they acquire for the baptism? I don't remember, but there are faithful calling to tell us that they are happy to have received this as a baptismal keepsake.
Update: When we decided to produce this Paterikon, we did not expect it to reach a second edition, yet it did! Glory to God for your zeal to learn about lesser-known Orthodox Saints. Thank you!
